Cat Lost in Mont Albert

Date Lost: 27/01/2009
Name: Audrey
Age of Pet
: 7
Gender
: Female
Breed
: Domestic shorthair
Colour: Black
Collar: None
Size: Small
Microchipped: Yes
Desexed: Yes
Description: Audrey normally doesn't wander far so its out of character for her to be gone this long. We think she might have been chased from her territory and disorientated. She has bald patches on the heels of her back legs and is pure black with no patches of colour.
Found
Date Found: 18/02/09

How Found: According to Central Animal Register, Audrey's microchipped was scanned on the 27/01/09, the day she went missing. This was the same day a black cat was found dead on a road near our home and was delivered to the RSPCA by a passerby. The RSPCA didn't record the microchip number of the dead cat, but it was probably her.

He has a green collar with a red registration tag.

We are hoping that someone may have picked him up and continued their journey.

Found
Date Found: 15.02.09

How Found: Good News, we found Rusty after searching day and night. It is amazing. Rusty’s chain broke on the back of the ute and he came off doing 100km on the Freeway. He has a few scratches, but that’s all. He was missing since the morning of Friday the 13th. We searched and searched. Rang everyone we knew, called into every conceivable house and left contact numbers. Registered with all surrounding Councils. Logged information on the Web, called vets, animal welfare league, RSPCA and even put it on face book. Most effective was searching and using your own networks through sms. Eventually, someone saw something. To those who have lost their beloved pets, don’t give up because miracles really do happen!!! Regards - Faith

Chip had flown into their back veranda approximately 4 or 5 weeks ago and sat on their table shivering. Their house is only about 1 or 2 km away!!! He has taken very good care of Chip for the past month and even took him with them on holiday. How kind then to notify us of his whereabouts. It has meant the world to us to have him home safely. Tony, thank you, and you were so right to say "Don't give up!" Ring as many local vets, pet stores, RSPCA etc as you can. Put up flyers and let people know that you are looking.
